# Popsink Source

> Stream Popsink's own platform events, such as connector and worker status changes, into a pipeline.

The Popsink Source publishes the platform's **own events** into a pipeline, such as a connector or a worker changing status. Route them to any target, for example to alert from your own tools or to keep a history of incidents.

## How it works

* **No configuration.** The connector asks for no host or credentials: Popsink itself produces the events.
* **One per environment.** An environment holds at most one Popsink Source.
* **One data model, created for you.** Creating the connector creates a single data model named `popsink-events`. Subscribe your targets to it as you would to any other data model.
* **No worker runs.** The data plane writes the events itself, so the connector has no worker of its own to start, scale or monitor.

## Events

Each event records a status change on a connector or a worker of the environment. They are published as they happen.
